Scope
This policy covers personal information collected through the Knoxora supporter-texting program — the two-way and broadcast SMS service Knoxora, LLC operates on behalf of the political campaign committee you opted in to (the “Campaign”), including the sign-up page at knoxora.com/join and canvasser tablets. It does not cover the Campaign’s separate data practices (voter file, fundraising, or email programs run outside Knoxora), which the Campaign governs on its own.
What we collect
When you opt in we collect: your name, mobile phone number, ZIP code, and email if you provide it; your e-signature and the version of the disclosure you agreed to; the consent choices you made; and technical metadata (timestamp, device identifier, and approximate location) recorded to verify the sign-up. We also store the content of text messages you exchange with the Campaign.
How we use it
To send the messages you opted into (two-way conversation and/or broadcast updates), and email updates if you chose that; to let Campaign staff and volunteers read and respond to your replies; to keep proof of your consent and detect fraudulent sign-ups; and to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How we share it — and how we don’t
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not sold, rented, or shared with any third party.
We share information only with service providers under contract who help run the program (for example, our messaging carrier Twilio, our database/hosting providers, and the Campaign’s inbound-routing tools), and only as needed to operate the service; and with the Campaign you opted in to, so it can communicate with you. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect against fraud or abuse.
Frequency, rates, and opt-out
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out stops further messages from that program.
Retention and security
We retain consent records and message logs as long as needed to operate the program and to document consent, and otherwise as required by applicable law. The database is encrypted at rest and access is restricted to authorized Campaign users and our operators.
